Ways To Play with The Harmony Deck
There are no set rules for playing - only possibilities!
Explore these suggested Ways To Play, mix them up or invent something completely your own. However you choose to play, count on your Harmony Deck to help you feel more grounded, clear and alive.

Method # 1
INTUITIVE PLAY
Have a question or intention.
Let your imagination run wild! Don't hesitate to create your own unique questions. Whether you are seeking self-discovery, personal growth, or simply in pursuit of joy, think of a question that resonates with your deepest hopes and dreams for the day or for life. Your questions and intentions are the key to the wisdom within you.Hold the question/intention in your mind while shuffling the cards.
Repeat the question/intention 3 times while continuing to shuffle the cards. Pay attention to how you feel physically, emotionally and mentally during this process.
Rate and name how you feel, emotionally, on a scale from 1 (worst) to 10 (best). Then do the same for how you’re feeling mentally and physically. You may want to write this down.
Pull one card then sort through the deck for its three numerical/face value counterparts. For example: If you pull a 2, gather the three remaining 2s. Or, if you pull a King, gather the three remaining Kings. Together, these four cards give you a comprehensive approach to your well-being relative to your question/intention.
Rub, Nourish, Tap and Trace as indicated by your cards.

Method # 2
TARGET A SPECIFIC MUSCLE, ORGAN OR GLAND
Each card in the Harmony Deck is related to a Meridian, noted at the top of every card. Each meridian is associated with specific organs, glands, and muscles.
TO WORK WITH A SPECIFIC MUSCLE
Go to the Structure cards.These are the only cards that show the muscle, named at the bottom.
The image shows one side of the body for clarity—the same muscle exists mirrored on the other side.
TO SUPPORT AN ORGAN OR GLAND
Choose the cards from the meridian with the same name (for example, Lung, Kidney, Large Intestine). Some meridians relate to less obvious systems:
Central Meridian → brain
Governing Meridian → spine
Pericardium Meridian → reproductive system
Triple Warmer Meridian → thyroid and adrenal glands
Collect all four cards for your chosen meridian.
Notice how that area of your body feels.
Rate the sensation on a scale from 1 (worst) to 10 (best).
Follow the actions: Rub, Nourish, Tap, and Trace.
Notice what changes and record your new rating.
Be consistent. Work on the same meridian each day for a week or more. Track the changes
Method # 3
TARGET THE TECHNIQUE
WORKING WITH A SINGLE SUIT
This approach can feel a little more compartmentalised, which is often how we’ve been taught to think about health. And sometimes, that’s exactly what’s needed.
Whether it’s a clear need or just a sense of playfulness, you can choose to focus on one area that’s calling.
Here’s how:
Choose the suit you want to explore and lay out all 13 cards in order in front of you. Begin with the Ace, and take action with each card as you move through the sequence.
While the real magic of the deck lies in supporting the whole system ♠️❤️♦️♣️, this is a simple, focused way to bring your attention to one area at a time.
For example:
♦️ EMOTIONS
Feeling overwhelmed or extra sensitive? Move through the Emotion cards… or just because it sounds good.
♠️ PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT
Experiencing pain or tension? The Structure cards are a great place to start… or just because it sounds good.
♣️ ENERGY & VITALITY
Feeling flat, jet-lagged, or off? Work with the cards that help restore flow and balance… or again, just because you feel like it.
❤️ NOURISHMENT
Feeling out of sorts with your eating? Use Whole Foods to get you back on track… Create a delicious, colourful salad with a wide variety of vegetables, or map out your meals for the day or week ahead… or just because it sounds good.
Chances are, you’ll quickly notice how powerful it can be to focus in this way. It’s also surprisingly fun to do it with a friend, taking turns, helping each other with the tracing and rubbing and comparing what you notice along the way.
Because really… exploring is the name of the game.
Method # 4
INCREASE FEMININE OR MASCULINE ENERGY
For More Feminine Energy
Gather all the Diamonds/Emotion cards with the female face, including the ace.
Place them face down, then pick one card.
Whatever number or face card you picked, find the other three matching spades, hearts and clubs.
Then Rub, Nourish, Tap and Trace. Refer to LEARN for guidance.
For More Masculine Energy
Gather all the Diamonds/Emotion cards with a male face, including the ace.
Place them face down, then pick one card.
Whatever number or face card you pulled, find the other three matching spades, hearts, and clubs.
Rub, Nourish, Tap, Trace as indicated.
Method # 5
TIME OF DAY PLAY
This method of play uses only the Energy cards in your deck. All of the Energy cards have a Time of Day noted in the bottom left corner. These are the hours during which each meridian is at its peak. Use this method of play if you’re noticing a physical or emotional pattern that tends to happen at the same time every day.
For example, let’s say you have a daily energy slump around 2 pm.
Sort through the Energy cards to find the one that features a time of day that includes 2 pm. In this example, that card would be the 8 of Clubs, featuring the Small Intestine Meridian, whose peak hours are between 1 and 3 pm.
Seek out all four the Small Intestine cards and Rub, Nourish, Tap and Trace. Refer to LEARN for guidance.
While they are the most potent to play with in their time window, you can play with them anytime as they are still very effective.
Method # 6
GROUP PLAY
For family or group play, you’ll need a designated “dealer” or “leader.” To keep it fair, consider rotating this role among family or team members each time you play.
Choose a question you can mutually agree upon and write it down.

What will support us as a family spending the day together?
What will best support our family as we celebrate the holiday together? [Thanksgiving, 4th of July etc…
What will best support our family today as we all go our separate ways, to school and work today?
What will best support our team today as we work together on (insert name of your project)?
What will best support us in our game of soccer, basketball, baseball, etc today?
What will best support us with …
The dealer reads the question 3 times while shuffling the cards.
The dealer pulls one card then pulls out the other three cards that share either the same number or face. Together these four cards give you a comprehensive approach.
The leader demonstrates the Rubbing, Tapping, and Tracing. They can refer to LEARN for guidance. The group then follows along, Rubbing, Tapping and Tracing on their own bodies or working with a partner.
To address the nutrition component, the leader initiates a conversation to suggest some good foods or snacks to eat that will help complete the process.
OPTIONAL PLAY
At the end of the day or after the activity, the dealer checks in with the group and encourages sharing.

Keep in mind that The Harmony Deck is also a traditional deck of playing cards that you can use to enjoy your favorite card games.
