Nutrition Cards

All HEARTS are NUTRITION cards.

When you use the Structure cards, you’re giving yourself a mini-massage — boosting lymphatic flow and detoxifying your body while improving overall circulation and energy. Structure cards help you feel better mentally and emotionally.

How It Works / The Big Idea / Structure Card Basics

Each Structure card features a muscle (red) related to the highlighted meridian as well as the neurolymphatic reflex points (yellow/orange) that correspond to that muscle.

Rubbing these points increases blood flow to the muscle while energizing the related meridian and promoting overall health and wellbeing. Neurolymphatic reflex points, also enhance blood flow and energy to the related organs and glands.

How to Activate Structure Cards: RUB

The orange/yellow points on each Structure card represent neurolymphatic reflex points. Rubbing them helps ease congestion, boost lymph flow, increase energy, and bring harmony to the body. Watch this video to see how it’s done.

  • Notice how you feel before rubbing.

  • Rub the orange/yellow points on the front and back of your body, applying firm pressure as you do so. Do this for at least 30-60 seconds using the pads of two or three fingers - index, middle, ring.

  • Take deep breaths as you rub the indicated points.

  • Notice how you feel after you activate these areas.

TIP You may want a friend to rub the hard-to-reach points on your back. Or, if you’re alone and unable to reach your back, rub the points on the front of your body for twice as long instead.

NOTE Each card shows the muscle on only one side of the body, but the same muscle exists as a mirror image on the other side.

ALL CARDS

FIGURE Represents yin/feminine or yang/masculine.

CARD COLOR Each color used in the Harmony Deck represents one of the 5 Elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Red=Fire; Yellow=Earth; Purple=Metal; Blue=Water; and Green=Wood.

Central and Governing Meridians are reservoir meridians that support the 12 meridians that are in the 5 Elements.. These cards are therefore without color (grey).

 Five Elements + Color

You’ll find the five elements represented on ALL the cards.

The five elements (Fire, red- Earth, yellow- Metal, purple- Water, blue- Wood, green) come from the ancient philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine, (TCM)  where they are used to understand the interconnectedness of our natural world and human life.

Within the TCM system the five elements are the bedrock to integrating all facets of our health, and within the five elements system lie the meridians, as you see on the playing cards.

This system has been used for thousands of years. Each element embodies specific characteristics, associations, and energies that play a profound role in how we experience daily life and how we can enhance our overall health and vitality.
